Albums like FUTUR II don’t come by accident. Founded in 2012 NEWMEN have absorbed their influences of, most prominently, 70s Electronica and 80s Wave into a compelling style without resorting to surface-level style choices or descending into soapbox posturing.

FUTUR II offers a unique yet relatable perspective between hopelessness and limitless options. A view of the world emerges in which we, together with NEWMEN, simultaneously are the observers and the ones to be observed. A serene reflection of how everything might be too late without the arrogance of claiming such a thing with certainty. Or as it can be heard in Futur I, a collaboration with the ex-Kraftwerk-drummer Wolfgang Flür: "There will be much to observe!"
